GTA 6 Pre-Order: Editions, Prices & Bonus Content
Two editions, two prices, a launch-window bonus and a November 12 pre-load. Plus the collector's box that is not a game edition, and the $229 leak that never became one.
Updated October 20, 2026: Corrected the format and pre-load details: the boxed Standard Edition is a download code rather than a disc, and digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12. The Ultimate Edition list now matches Rockstar's (five businesses, not four), the GTA+ month is correctly tied to digital pre-orders, and the separate September 24 collector's box is explained.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI opened on June 25, 2026. There are two editions of the game, Standard and Ultimate, and that is the complete list. Variety reported the US prices from Rockstar's June 24 reveal as $79.99 and $99.99.
| Edition | Price | Format | Contents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | Digital, or a download code in a box | Base game |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | Digital only | Base game plus vehicles, weapons, clothing, two activities and five businesses |

Both editions include the Vintage Vice City Pack for all pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026 - a launch-window bonus, not a pre-order-only one. Digital pre-orders also get a free month of GTA+, which applies to the existing GTA Online, and can pre-load from November 12.
There is no disc
Rockstar lists the Standard Edition as "Digital or Code in Box". Its June 24 pre-order announcement says the physical version contains a download code inside the box and will be available from November 12 to support pre-loading. Buying the box does not mean playing from a disc: the game is downloaded either way.
What the Ultimate Edition actually adds
Rockstar's VI site lists the contents by category and says the bonuses are "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter" - so they arrive through the campaign rather than all at once. None of it is described as an extra chapter, expansion or season pass.
| Category | What Rockstar lists |
|---|---|
| Vehicles | '95 Grotti Cheetah, Ganado Retro Build, Shitzu Squalo boat, '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with Paradise Garage, and Jason's Safehouse Vehicles (Dinka Enduro motorcycle, Crest Kayak) |
| Weapons | Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers; personalised variants of the Girardi ES9 and Klose K17 |
| Clothing | Vice City Style; Goodtime Gear |
| Activities | PTT Youngin$ compound; Classic Car Collection, a commission from Wyman |
| Businesses | Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo (50+ tattoos by FAILE), One-Eyed Willie's |
The five businesses sit under the line "Only open for business with the Ultimate Edition". That could mean the exclusive stock is gated or that the venue itself is. Rockstar has not clarified, and the difference is substantial.
The collector's box is not an edition
Before pre-orders opened, a listing on FNAC Portugal showed three price points converting to roughly $103, $138 and $229, widely read as standard, deluxe and collector's tiers. Neither Rockstar nor the retailer confirmed those names or prices, and when pre-orders opened there were two editions. No $229 collector's edition of the game exists.
On September 24 Rockstar did announce a physical collector's product: "The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection", a collector's box arriving November 19. Rockstar states that the game is sold separately. It is merchandise, not a third edition, and it does not vindicate the leaked listing - buying it does not get you GTA VI.
Third-party sites selling GTA VI 'collector's bundles' that include the game, or discounted keys, are not selling a product Rockstar offers. Buy from the platform stores, the Rockstar Store or established retailers.
On the $79.99 price
Worth noting without editorialising: $79.99 is above the $69.99 that became standard for current-generation releases. Rockstar has not commented on the pricing, and whether it becomes an industry benchmark is a question for after launch rather than one anyone can answer now.

The Ultimate Edition adds items, two activities and possibly five venues. It is not described as adding story, map or any system, and nothing about it changes what the game is.
It adds vehicles, weapons, clothing, two activities and five businesses, threaded through the story - not extra story. If you want those, it is the only route; if not, the Standard Edition is the same game.
No. Rockstar lists it as digital only. The only boxed option is the Standard Edition, and that is a download code in a box rather than a disc.
Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12. The boxed Standard Edition's download code is also available from November 12 to support pre-loading. Rockstar has not published the file size or the unlock time.
Not of the game. "The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection", announced on September 24, is a collector's box arriving November 19, and the game is sold separately.
No. Rockstar has not announced a PC version. GamesBeat reported, citing anonymous sources, that one could arrive in the first quarter of 2027, but until Rockstar announces it there is nothing to pre-order.
Yes, as long as the purchase is before November 20, 2026.
Not announced. Neither edition includes one and Rockstar has not mentioned post-launch story content.
