Copyright and DMCA
This site reproduces press material owned by other people, under news-reporting and commentary exceptions. If you own something here and want it gone, this page tells you exactly how to make that happen.
- Third-party images are used for news reporting and commentary, credited to their owner, and never presented as ours.
- Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive. This site is unofficial and unaffiliated.
- Rights holders can have material removed by sending a notice to the address below. We act on valid notices promptly, usually within 72 hours.
- We also honour informal requests from rights holders. A formal notice is never required to get our attention.
01Our position on third-party material
Reporting on a video game means showing the game. The screenshots, key art and press images on this site were published by their owners for press use, and appear here to illustrate reporting and commentary about them. Every one is credited, and none is presented as our own work.
We believe this is a legitimate use under the fair-use doctrine in the United States and the equivalent news-reporting, quotation and criticism exceptions elsewhere. We also accept that the rights holder gets the final say, and we do not argue with a takedown request.
02Rockstar Games material
Grand Theft Auto, GTA, Rockstar Games, the Rockstar Games logo, the Rockstar Newswire and all related characters, names, marks and imagery are the property of Rockstar Games, Inc. and Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
Leonida Files is an unofficial fan reference. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Trademarks appear here only to identify the subject being written about. The official source is rockstargames.com.
If a representative of Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive would like any asset removed, an email to support@regulad.com is enough. No formal notice and no lawyer are needed.
03Our own work
The original text, page structure, editorial confidence labelling and original artwork on this site are © 2025-2026 Leonida Files. Reuse terms are in the Terms of Use: quote a reasonable extract with credit and a link, do not republish wholesale.
If you think we have used your work without permission or without adequate credit, the procedure below applies just as much to you as to a games publisher.
04Sending a takedown notice
Send notices to support@regulad.com. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include all six of the following:
| # | What the notice must contain |
|---|---|
| 1 | A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf. |
| 2 | Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed - or, for multiple works on one site, a representative list. |
| 3 | Identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it. A direct URL to the page, plus a description of which image or passage on it, is ideal. |
| 4 | Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and email address. |
| 5 | A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. |
| 6 | A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf. |
Notices under other regimes - the EU Copyright Directive, the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act, or a local equivalent - go to the same address and should carry the same substance.
05What we do when we receive one
- We acknowledge receipt, normally within one working day and always within 5 days.
- We remove or disable the material identified in a valid notice promptly - in practice within 72 hours of acknowledging it - without waiting to resolve whether the claim is ultimately correct.
- We keep a record of the notice and of what we removed. We will tell you what we did and where.
- Where a whole page depended on the removed material, we say on that page that something was removed following a rights-holder request, rather than deleting it silently.
06Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to support@regulad.com. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live - or, if you are outside the United States, of any district in which we may be found - and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not notify us that they have filed a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.
07Repeat infringement
This site does not host user-generated content, so there are no accounts to terminate. If a contributor to the site were to be responsible for repeated infringement, we would stop publishing their work.
08Misuse of this procedure
A takedown notice is a legal document. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing exposes you to liability for damages, including costs and legal fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). We treat notices that are obviously aimed at suppressing criticism or unfavourable reporting as what they are, and we say so publicly.
